To add your site to Google Search Console, follow steps below :
1. Create a Google Search Console account
Log in with your Google (Gmail) account.
2. Add your website
Click on "Add Property".
Two options will appear:
Domain (example: yoursite.com) → covers the entire domain
URL Prefix (example: https://yoursite.com) → covers a specific URL
I recommend choosing URL Prefix for a simple site.
3. Verify ownership
Google needs to verify that you own the site. Several methods are available:
HTML file upload (if you can upload files)
HTML tag to add in your site's <head> section
Google Analytics (if your site is connected)
Google Tag Manager (if used)
The easiest method on systeme.io: HTML tag. Just paste the tag in your site's advanced header settings. I will show you in a video during the next posts, how to add the tag.
4. Submit your sitemap
After verifying, click on "Sitemaps" in the left menu.
Enter your sitemap URL (usually https://yoursite.com/sitemap.xml).
This helps Google discover and index all your pages faster.
5. Wait
After setup, Google will start crawling your website.
It may take a few hours to a few days for your pages to start appearing in search results.
